Since the goal of Caps for Kids is to reach as many children as possible, participation is quite simple. Hats are provided to a participating facility for children to choose. A child may choose to make a special request which is then solicited from the requested signer if it is not in our inventory. Unfortunately, sometimes fulfilling the request takes time. The hats given to a facility may not be sold or used for fundraising.

A child receives one hat although exceptions exist as in the case of a relapse or a special request that takes a long time to get.
