Germ cell tumors are rare. In fact, they account for only 4% of pediatric brain tumors. For Brayan, the diagnosis has meant chemotherapy, radiation therapy and not being able to play on the “All-Star Soccer Team” in his small Virginia hometown. When it was time to choose someone to sign the cap he would wear to treatment, Bryan chose Brazilian professional footballer Neymar da Silva Santos Junior (a.k.a. as Neymar).

Neymar, one of the best soccer players in the world, is an inspiration to Brayan on an off the field. Neymar once said, “The secret is to believe in your dreams; in your potential that you can be like your star, keep searching, keep believing and don’t lose faith in yourself.”
