Name: Brielle

Interests: Playing cello and sports

Diagnosis: Burkitt Lymphoma

Cap Heroes: Blake Griffin and Chris Paul

Burkitt lymphoma is a fast-growing form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. No child should ever have to face any kind of cancer but, when it happens, organizations like Caps for Kids step in to do what we can.

In Brielle’s case, it meant sending her a cap signed by basketball stars, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul who she once saw play at the Staple Center in Los Angeles with her brother Neil and her mom. The cap would’ve been special to Brielle at any time (she was on her high school basketball team), but it was an especially welcome gift during her cancer treatment.

Chris Paul once remarked, “I always have said that the most valuable thing I have isn’t my money; it’s my time.” Signing the cap was time well spent.

“I’m grateful for Caps for Kids.
When Brielle received the cap, it brought a huge smile to her face.”
