And Emmy goes to…Billie Eilish.
Name: Emmy
Interests: Swimming, drawing and making friendship bracelets
Diagnosis: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Cap Hero: Billie Eilish
In February of 2017, Emmy of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Recently, she finished 2 ½ years of treatment which, unfortunately, caused problems with her bones and joints. While Emmy has reconstruction surgeries ahead of her, her mom says she is strong, optimistic and looking forward to a bright future.
While undergoing chemo, Emmy wore a cap signed by another strong teenager – 17-year-old singer/songwriter/model Billie Eilish, the first and only artist born in the 2000s to record a #1 single in the United States.
Thanks, Billie! Although you sing about being a “bad guy,” we think the fact that you signed Emmy’s hat proves otherwise.
“Thank you very much for getting a cap for Emmy. It lit up her world!”
