Diagnosis: Wilms Tumor (nephroblastoma)

In 2018, Nicole had a bump on her right side and was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor, the most common childhood kidney cancer. Two year later, the cancer returned and, with it, Nicole and her family’s resolve to beat this thing. Despite her illness, Nicole’s sense of humor is intact and she is determined to keep everyone smiling.

Ever since she first saw the preview of Disney’s Frozen on TV, Nicole has been in love with Elsa, and she tries to be strong and fearless like both of the spunky princesses who signed her cap.

Olaf the snowman says, “Some people are worth melting for.” Nicole, who melts the hearts of all who meet her, is one of them.
