Cap Hero: Stephen Curry

When you’re a six-time NBA All-Star, a two-time NBA MVP, and winner of three NBA championships, you can pretty much do anything you want. Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors decided to do something nice. He said yes when we asked him to sign a cap for 16-year-old Mia.

Sport stars are used to signing autographs – it’s something they do almost every day – but this was different. This cap brought joy to a kind, funny, creative girl with leukemia.  Mia, who had to go through a bone marrow transplant, received the cap when she needed it most.

Mia loves the fact that Curry, her favorite NBA player, touched her hat. We think he did more than that. He touched her heart.

“The cap brought a smile to my daughter’s face on a day she really need it.” – Mia’s mom
