Baseball is more than a game. For a little boy named Jacob who dreams of making it to the big leagues one day, it’s a reason to fight hard against cancer. Jacob’s Cap Hero José Altuve is a total inspiration to this shy but happy child.

Altuve, the 5’6” tall second basemen for the Houston Astros, is proof that if you want something bad enough, it can happen. This six-time MLB All-Star from Venezuela  said, “In baseball, it doesn't matter if you're tall, skinny, fat, whatever…You win a championship, and you feel 7 feet tall.”

With the simple act of signing a boy’s cap, the shortest active player in the Major League Baseball is truly someone we can all look up to.

“Jacob is our hero! Our warrior! And though he be but little, he is brave!”
