Signed by an Angel.
Name: Jeffrey
Interests: Playing football and soccer
Diagnosis: Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS)
Cap Hero: Albert Pujolos
When Jeffery isn’t playing football or kicking around a soccer ball with his friends, he likes to watch baseball. His late Uncle Sean turned him turned him on to the Cardinals and his Cap Hero, Albert Pujolos, who now plays for the Los Angeles Angels.
Although the three-time National League MVP and nine-time All-Star never had to battle cancer like Jeffrey, Pujolos did fight poverty in his childhood. He learned how to play baseball in the streets of the Dominican Republic when he was eight years old. He once said, "I don't think there's anything out there I can be afraid of.”
Like Pujolos, Jeffrey is a fighter. This proud, loving, easy-going teen is determined to beat Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer that forms in soft tissue. RMS can occur at any age, but it most often affects children.
We’re rooting for you, Jeffrey! Good luck and enjoy your cap!
“Thank you for all that you do for the children and their families. A special thank you to Albert Pujolos for taking the time out to help bring a smile to my son’s face.”
