It’s been said that people who are attracted to Cardinals are naturally energetic, love life, and happily help others where and when they can. Whether that applies to people who love the Arizona Cardinals as well as the bird, we don’t know for sure, but it certainly describes Kaila, a sweet girl who was diagnosed with Left Facial Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma in 2015.

Today Kaila wears a cap signed by Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who has been selected for the Pro Bowl eleven times. Kaila chose Larry because “he is a great player and does a lot for others.” (We’ve been told this is something they have in common.)

At Cap for Kids, we’re inspired by kids like Kaila who, despite all they’re going through, still think of others. Thanks, Kaila, for being you!
